St. Pete is about to have one of its biggest weekends of the year.

The St. Pete Pride Parade 2026 steps off on Saturday, June 27 along Bayshore Drive in downtown St. Pete, and if you’ve never experienced it, this is the year to go. The St. Pete Pride Parade is Florida’s largest LGBTQIA+ celebration, drawing over 300,000 people to the waterfront for a full weekend of concerts, festivals, parades, and community. The 2026 theme is Here Comes the Sun, and downtown is going to feel like it.

Here’s everything you need to know before you go.

St. Pete Pride Parade 2026: Full Weekend Schedule

St. Pete Pride 2026 runs three days, with something different happening each day.

Friday, June 26 kicks things off with a Night Concert and Market at Al Lang Stadium on the waterfront. Doors open at 4:00 PM and the event runs until 10:00 PM. Expect live music, local vendors, and that electric waterfront energy that makes downtown St. Pete feel like nowhere else.

Saturday, June 27 is the main event. The festival at North and South Straub Parks opens at 2:00 PM with live entertainment, food and drink, and over 100 vendor and community organization booths running until 10:00 PM. The Trans March steps off from Vinoy Park at 5:15 PM. Then at 6:00 PM, the St. Pete Pride Parade 2026 officially begins, departing from Albert Whitted Park near Al Lang Stadium and heading north along Bayshore Drive to Vinoy Park with floats, marching groups, and more energy than any single stretch of downtown can usually hold.

Sunday, June 28 wraps the weekend with a Street Fair on Grand Central from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. More local vendors, live performances, and a relaxed community vibe to close it all out.

Parade Route and Viewing Spots

The St. Pete Pride Parade 2026 route starts at Albert Whitted Park near Al Lang Stadium and travels north along Bayshore Drive, ending at Vinoy Park. That stretch of waterfront road is the heart of the whole thing, with the bay on one side and downtown on the other. Over 100 groups march the route, and the energy builds from the moment the first float moves.

Anywhere along Bayshore Drive between Al Lang and the Vinoy is going to be a solid viewing spot. North and South Straub Parks give you room to spread out with a blanket, especially under the trees if you want some shade. The South Straub VIP area offers front-row parade viewing with private seating, air conditioning, and two drink tickets for those with a VIP ticket ($75, ages 21+).

Is the St. Pete Pride Parade Free to Attend?

Attending the St. Pete Pride Parade is completely free and open to the public. No ticket required. You’ll want cash or card for food, drinks, and vendors on-site. A Skip the Line pass ($20) gets you through a separate gate at North Straub if you want to avoid the main entry queue. The South Straub VIP experience is $75 and includes private seating and two drink tickets.

Parking, Road Closures, and Getting to the St. Pete Pride Parade 2026

Getting to the St. Pete Pride Parade 2026 without a headache comes down to one thing: planning ahead.

Free parking is available on Saturday at two locations: St. Petersburg High School at 2501 5th Ave North, and Tropicana Field Lots 6 and 7. Free shuttles run from all three locations toward the parade route. Parking opens at 11:00 AM and runs until midnight, with no overnight parking allowed.

Bayshore Drive road closures begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 27 and run until approximately 11:00 PM. Build that into your driving plans before you leave the house.

The St. Pete Pier parking lots will be closed from Saturday afternoon until after the parade ends. Do not plan to park there and retrieve your car mid-afternoon.

PSTA buses run their normal schedules all weekend. Check the PSTA schedules and maps before you head out. Rideshare drop-off near 4th Street or 2nd Ave North keeps you out of the gridlock zone closer to Bayshore.

Pulse Tip: Target the free shuttle lots at St. Pete High or Tropicana Field and let the shuttle do the work. Trying to park near Bayshore Drive on a Saturday afternoon with 300,000 people downtown is a stress you don’t need.

Can I Bring a Cooler or Lawn Chairs?

Lawn chairs and blankets are great for the open park areas along the parade route. Large coolers and outside alcohol are generally restricted inside the official festival zones at North and South Straub Parks. Plan to grab food and drinks from the vendors on-site.

Are Dogs Allowed at the St. Pete Pride Parade?

The St. Pete Pride Parade welcomes pets but they must stay leashed. That said, organizers are upfront about the risks: June asphalt gets dangerously hot and can seriously burn paws. Add in the crowds, loud music, and heat, and if your dog isn’t rock-solid in those conditions, it’s probably a better weekend to leave them home comfortable.

Make a Day of It in St. Pete

If you’re heading downtown for Pride weekend and want to explore more of the city, St. Pete has plenty going on beyond the parade route. Take a look at our guide to Things to Do in St. Pete for restaurants, shops, and local spots worth checking out while you’re already downtown.

One more thing before you head out: pack for the heat. You’re spending a Saturday in June in Florida with 300,000 people and very little shade on Bayshore Drive. The EltaMD UV Clear SPF 46 is a dermatologist-recommended sunscreen that holds up without clogging pores, and a portable handheld fan will be your best friend by the time the parade kicks off at 6:00 PM.
