SUMMARY:ART HEALS: Honoring Survivors & Supporting Healing
DESCRIPTION:Suncoast Center\, in partnership with our community allies\, is honored to present ART HEALS — a public art exhibit featuring artwork created by survivors of sexual violence. Art can be a meaningful way for survivors of all ages to express emotions\, experiences\, strength\, and healing through color\, texture\, symbols\, and storytelling. \nThe ART HEALS Gallery invites deeper engagement through artist-written stories displayed beside each creation—connecting guests to the meaning\, motivation\, and healing behind the art. Select artworks offer optional audio storytelling\, allowing guests to engage more deeply with survivor voices through QR-enabled listening experiences. \nHeld during Second Saturday Art Walk in the Warehouse Arts District\, ART HEALS honors survivor voices and raises awareness during Sexual Assault Awareness Month and will remain on display through the end of April at the ArtsXchange Tully-Levine Gallery. \nFor more than 80 years\, Suncoast Center has walked alongside individuals and families in our community during their most vulnerable moments. As the sole certified provider of Sexual Assault Services for Pinellas County\, we deliver trauma-informed care to survivors and their families;meeting them with dignity\, compassion\, and clinical expertise when it matters most.
