Slow-Stitched Fabric Beads with Laura York
The Morean Arts Center is hosting Slow-Stitched Fabric Beads with Laura York in St. Petersburg on Saturday, November 21, from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.
This hands-on workshop introduces participants to slow-stitching, a relaxing fabric art technique used to create colorful decorative beads for jewelry, keyrings, tassels and other handmade accessories.
Instructor Laura York will guide participants through selecting fabrics, working with needles, threads, batting and beads, and learning seven different stitching styles.
The class includes printed instructions, hands-on demonstrations and supplies to create two keychains, each featuring two handmade fabric beads.
Registration costs $20, plus a separate $25 materials fee paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of class.
The workshop takes place at the Morean Arts Center, located at 719 Central Avenue in St. Petersburg.
