Painting in the Park 2026

Painting in the Park is the MFA’s FREE annual community celebration of all things art! This year, the beloved event returns with more activities, community partners, and opportunities for fun than ever before.
Families, friends, and art lovers of all ages are invited to spend the day exploring 20+ colorful, creative, messy, and marvelous art activities inspired by works from the museum’s collection. Activities are designed for everyone—from toddlers and teens to adults ready to rediscover their inner artist.
Participants will receive a Painting in the Park Discovery Passport to guide them to each station and earn a stamp as they complete each activity. Complete at least 10 art and activity stations and this Discovery Passport becomes a ticket for a FREE visit to the MFA!*

- A Paper Poppy Field inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe
